The Cutest Chickens You’ll Ever Meet! 
Serama chickens are mini chickens, weighing in at just around or under 1 lb when fully grown. Known as “tabletop chickens” or “teacup chickens,” their upright stance has even earned them the nickname “tiny soldier.” Don’t let their small size fool you—these little birds are full of personality and love to be your best friend! They make wonderful companions, are easy to house with smaller spaces, and are perfect for those who enjoy having a feathered friend by their side. Plus, they lay adorable, tiny eggs—slightly bigger than quail eggs. There’s just too much cute packed into these pint-sized chickens!

M&M Hobby Farm is a small hobby farm in Wahiawā, HI and we hatch chicks based on our waitlist. By purchasing, you confirm that you’ve read and agreed to our Chicken Sales Policy. Please ask any questions before placing your deposit. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. If you have questions, please reach out before ordering, as all sales are final.

Cost (as of 8/1/2025) - for chicks bred and hatched at M&M Hobby Farm. Since chickens are flock animals, we require a purchase of 2 or more chicks (of any breed available) UNLESS the buyer can show they currently have chicks of the same age/size where this chick will be able to safely join their flock:  

$25 straight-run chicks under 6 weeks

$35 DNA sexed cockerels (male) under 6 weeks

$45 DNA sexed pullets (female) under 6 weeks 

About This Deposit

This is a 50% deposit to secure your spot on our waiting list for Serama chicks under 6 weeks old.

• Straight-run (unsexed) chicks are typically available for pick-up one week after hatch.
• DNA-sexed chicks are usually ready for pick-up by the third week after hatch.

As soon as it’s your turn on the list, we’ll contact you to schedule your pick-up and collect the remaining balance.

Important Deposit & Waitlist Policies

• Deposits are non-refundable if you decide not to take a chick or do not show up for your scheduled pick-up time.
• Serama chicks are held for a minimum of one week after hatch if straight-run or 2 1/2 weeks after hatch for DNA-sexed before being released to their new homes. This allows us time to closely monitor their health, strength, and overall development to ensure they are thriving and ready for a smooth transition. Our goal is to send home confident, well-started chicks so they have the very best beginning with you. 
• Straight-run (unsexed) reservations made before or within the first week after hatch are prioritized and fulfilled before DNA-sexed reservations.
• If DNA sexing is requested, testing is performed between 1–2 weeks after hatch.
• If you are requesting a specific sex, please note that your wait may be longer, as we cannot guarantee how many chicks of each sex will hatch.
• If the requested sex is not available within 90 days of your waitlist date, you may request a refund of your deposit.
  • Refunds do not apply to color or appearance preferences, as Serama coloring can change significantly as chicks feather out and even after molting.
• If you choose to pass when contacted, you will be moved to the end of the waitlist, and your 90-day availability window will restart.
• A live waitlist link will be emailed to you once you are added and is updated in real time.
• Additional chicks may be purchased at the time of pick-up if available.

• Local pick-up only — Wahiawā preferred (meet-ups may be possible).
• No shipping available for serama chicks (however, may be available for adult chickens and hatching eggs, please inquire).
