Juvenile Serama (6 Weeks – 4 Months)

This is the adorable “teenage” stage of a Serama—no longer a tiny chick, but not quite a full adult yet. At this age their personalities are starting to bloom, making it a wonderful time to bond with your new tiny flock member.

Most birds in this stage are not yet laying eggs, and males may or may not have started crowing (though Seramas sometimes start as early as 2 months!). There is no guarantee on the volume level of their crow or on how many eggs will be laid. Before purchasing, please view and agree to our Chicken Sales Policy

Because they are still growing, you may notice patchy or missing feathers as their adult plumage comes in. This is normal—Seramas often change dramatically as they feather out, including color and pattern.

Companion Requirement

Chickens are flock animals and must be purchased in pairs or more, unless you can show that you already have chickens of a similar age and size for safe integration.

Integration Recommendation - QUARANTINE

We strongly recommend isolating new birds for at least 2 weeks to allow them to adjust and to help prevent the spread of illness.

Care & Temperament

All birds are handled and visually inspected often, but each chicken will have its own personality and behavior. Please read the description for each bird for personality traits. 

Background Information - upon request

Parent or breeder information will be disclosed when available so you know the background of the bird you’re bringing home. Any vaccinations, treatments, and diet will also be disclosed.
