Experience the Joy of Hatching!
There’s nothing quite like watching new life begin. Our Serama hatching eggs let you enjoy the wonder of seeing tiny chicks develop and hatch—whether you let a broody hen raise them or choose to hand-raise them yourself.

Perfect for families, farms, and classrooms, hatching is not only magical to witness but also a fun and educational experience for children. Please see our Serama days old chick listing to see some pics of what we've hatched out at M&M Hobby Farm.

Hatching eggs are handled differently than eggs for eating. These eggs are gathered with intention; carefully collected knowing they are headed for an incubator or a broody mama hen. They are tested regularly for fertility, meaning we hatch from these same pairs regularly and know the chicks that come from them thrive and are strong.

Before purchasing, please take a moment to read our Hatching Eggs Policy. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. (Please note: hatch rates cannot be guaranteed. We test fertility regularly.) Hen's choice eggs will be the default order and could take up to 2 weeks to be fulfilled (please let us know if you need sooner). If you are looking for a specific pen - please contact us first to inquire on availability. Requesting a specific feather color or type may take A LOT longer (a month or more), so please make sure to inquire before purchasing as All sales are final. Also note, serama do not breed true so there is NO guarantee on the outcome of feather color or type.

Bring the excitement of new life to your home or farm—start your hatching adventure today!

Local pickup preferred (please message before ordering - depending on payment method, may be able to save on processing fees). Shipping available - please inquire before ordering.

Quick Incubation Guide

Incubation Time: 21 days

Temperature:
99.5°F (forced air incubator) - highly recommend a secondary in-incubator thermometer/hygrometer

Humidity:
Days 1–18: 45%
Days 17 or 18-21: 65%

Egg Turning:
Turn eggs at least 3 times per day until Day 18.
Shipped eggs: Upon arrival, immediately open and inspect eggs, candle for any cracks and to inspect the air cell. (If any are cracked, discard.) Keep eggs upright, pointy side down. Let sit to get to room temperature for at least 6 hours before putting in incubator as it is often very cold in post office/vehicle. Incubate eggs upright (pointy side down), don't start turner until 3 days into incubating. This stabilizes the air cell to the top of the rounded side - where it should be for hatching.

Lockdown - day 17 or 18 - get ready for hatch!:
Stop turning eggs and increase humidity starting Day 18. You can place the eggs upright or on their side.

Chicks typically hatch between Days 18-21.
